There are a few things that seventh grade math students can be practicing throughout the year to help them prepare for their state standardized test, the WKCE. Some of these things are:

• Practice measuring with a ruler - using inches and centimeters
• Practice basic math facts - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing one, two and three digit numbers
• Practice math facts with decimals
• Practice math facts with fractions
• Practice measuring and drawing angles using a protractor
• Practice explaining HOW you got an answer. You may need to write explanations for some questions.

There are a few things that you are going to need for math class this year that you should have with you. These items include:

• Binder (1 1/2 inch or larger)
• Pencils
• Pens (blue/black and red)
• Scientific Calculator
• Loose-leaf paper (3 hole punched)
• Protractor
• Ruler
• Book Cover
